Puppy Vaccination Schedule

6–8 Weeks
- First DHPP vaccination (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus)
- Routine deworming
- General health examination
10–12 Weeks
- Second DHPP booster
- Continued deworming as recommended
- Wellness check
14–16 Weeks
- Final DHPP booster
- Rabies vaccination (as required by your local laws and veterinarian)
- Complete health assessment
Ongoing Care
After bringing your puppy home, we recommend establishing a relationship with a trusted veterinarian to continue vaccinations, parasite prevention, and routine wellness visits. We provide complete vaccination and health records with every puppy so your veterinarian can continue your Dachshund’s care seamlessly.
Recommended Vaccination Schedule
Your veterinarian will continue the vaccination schedule after you bring your puppy home:
Age Vaccines
6–8 Weeks DHPP (1st dose) — Administered by us
10–12 Weeks DHPP (2nd dose)
14–16 Weeks DHPP (3rd dose) and Rabies vaccination
12–16 Weeks Bordetella vaccine (if recommended by your veterinarian)
Important
Until your Dachshund puppy has completed its full vaccination series, it’s important to avoid areas where unvaccinated dogs may have been. This includes dog parks, pet stores, boarding facilities, and heavily trafficked sidewalks or public spaces. Limiting exposure during this period helps protect your puppy from preventable illnesses and ensures a healthy start in their new home.
Deworming Schedule
All Doxara Dachshunds puppies are placed on a regular deworming program beginning at 2 weeks of age. Routine deworming helps protect against common intestinal parasites and ensures your puppy arrives healthy and ready to thrive in their new home.

When you welcome your puppy home, you’ll receive complete health documentation, including:
- Dates of all vaccinations administered
- Vaccine names and lot numbers
- Deworming medications and treatment dates
- Health and wellness records
- Recommendations for future vaccinations and booster schedules
- Guidance for establishing ongoing veterinary care
